The Choice Made With Love

It is a scary moment for an expectant mother to hear the results of her prenatal screening, to find that her infant is not as society would see to be normal and perfect. The technologies available today allow us to foresee many problems with the baby long before delivery. This technology can be a useful tool in correcting or preventing problems before birth, but what about those that can not be corrected, does it help to know ahead of time?

For all the stress it can cause to find out early that you are carrying an infant with significant problems, it can also relieve that much more stress to find out later. You need to be surrounded with people that are familiar with the defects your infant will face that can educate you on what to expect when he or she gets here. It is a necessary screening and should be rewarded for its findings and for the help that it has given to expectant parents.

Loving Life

We all have a purpose when sent here to earth, a message to send, or a task to complete, and we usually will never know what that purpose was. The choice to continue with the pregnancy, after many negative feedbacks from doctors and little help from your health providers, it is ultimately your choice and it is a choice of love. Life is precious, and to take that away from someone would be the hardest thing I could imagine ever having to do.

I feel for the parents that are offered that choice, and feel even harder for the ones who make the choice not to continue the pregnancy. The person who is waiting to be born has his or her own message or task to complete in this world, and it is not up to us here on earth already to decide their fate. There are many places that will offer support. And aid in making your decision an easier one.

There are instances where certain defects can be handled before the birth; surgery can be performed on the fetus to correct heart issues and many other health problems. After the birth of the baby there are many other options to help achieve a better life for him or her and for your self. There is not always a cut and dry answer to the question of continuing a risky pregnancy.

Often times the pregnancy issues can create problems for the mother and create certain health risk for her, making it seemingly impossible to carry to term, check with your clinic and hospitals to find the answers, there are many options available to you to aid in the successful birth of your child.

It is an overwhelming experience and can create stress on many levels, but just know it does not have to be, get the right people in place, doctors you can trust, and get all your options before making a decision that could have been avoided.

"And she conceived again, and bare a son:and she said, Now I will praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing." Genesis 29:35

This site is titled after this verse, which speaks of Leah. This verse offers hope, because Leah did go on to bear more children.
